This little guy is 16 months old today!!! I can't believe he's been home almost 2 months now! Time has stood still and flown by all at the same time! He's a happy little guy and such a joy. He loves us more and more each day and we him. Some days it feels like he's been here with us for years, but it's only been 2 months?! It seems so hard to imagine. I quit my job to be a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM). Which I thought would be a very very hard transition. But, here it's been 2 months, and I'm enjoying my time at home. Don't get me wrong, there's some days, where I'd scream, "BREAK PLEASE!" but I'm doing it!
And, this girl loves her little brother! I really had no idea how Taylor would be around Aiden. So it's been interesting to see their love develop! He has his own pronunciation for saying her name. I call her Tay-Tay, so Aiden has adopted his own way of saying that and it's so adorably cute. When Aiden and I go to pick her up in the afternoons from school, I'll tell Aiden, "let's go get Tay-Tay" and he'll say his version of Tay-Tay and smile. I just love it! :)
One thing that hit me the other day. I have two children now. We're a family of four. WOW! Things hit me at the weirdest times. And, I'm 40 and have a 16 month old! Even bigger WOW!! The only thing I wish is we would have done this much sooner. When we first got home with Aiden, I was overwhelmed with the whole process, trip, being home and wondering how the heck I was going to do this! And easily thought, nope, I'm good with this adorable child and I'll never do this again! But in seeing a few friends post their pictures and blog posts about meeting their sons for the first time this week has brought back all the emotions and feelings of our trip and meeting Aiden for the first time. Now, that was overwhelming and all those emotions felt so fresh and real all over again! Although times can be a little tough some times, I now see why AP's do this all over again! :)
